This is the page is dedicated to my Aunt Jaan & Ome Jan VandePutte. She was the oldest daughter of the Cobus Van Eden Family.

She had two daughters of which one daughter died at the age of 19.   The other daughter was born much later when our Aunt was nearly sixty years of age.  At that time it was unheard of to have had a child at such an advanced age - so my Aunt called her a miracle. That is why Gerda was also known as the miracle baby. 

They also had a son Jaap who became an architect and designer for many projects. The whole family lived on the street of  Spaarndammerdijk in Spaarndam North Holland.

Jaap now resides in the house where his parents used to live. Jaap has remodeled and updated this family home which is located right on the edge of the water.
