Later our Grandmother
Marie Van Leeuwen, who was born August 14 1880, the Mother was Adriana van Stuivenberg and Father was Dick van Leeuwen.
She was 31 years of age at that time, when she married my Grandpa
Cornelis Vandergeld.
He had come back to the Netherlands in 1911 after about 18 years of service in Suriname the West Indies He was 35 years old at that time.
They both resided in Veenendaal were Grandma Marie & Grandpa Cornelis had my father Willem Adrianus their first Son on August 4, 1912. which they gave the same name as my Great Great Grandfather Willem Vandergeld II
After my father was born they moved to Naarden and they had triplets - three girls in 1914, however they died a few months after they were born due to a illness called the black plague.
A few years later Grandma & Grandpa Vandergeld had two more children, Dirk and Marie to make the family complete.
They spent the rest of their lives in Naarden the Netherlands at
22 Oude Haven.
